James Profit is a member of the Jesuit order. Since his ordination in 1991, he has lived in Jamaica and on Manitoulin Island. For the past year he has been the co-ordinator of the Ecology Project of the Jesuit Centre for Social Faith and Justice, and now lives at the Jesuit farm and retreat house property, north of the city of Guelph, Ontario.
